Paul joins CFP as PhD student to research industry decarbonisation
Paul Tautorat joins both CFP and the Energy and Technology Policy Group (EPG) to work on the DECARBIN research project funded by the Swiss Federal Office of Energy (SFOE). He investigates the influence of energy and climate policy on industry decarbonisation.
To reach net zero emissions by 2050, Switzerland needs to decarbonize all sectors, including GHG-emitting industries. In fact, the industrial sector accounted for ca. 25% of Swiss greenhouse gas emissions in 2018 according to the Swiss greenhouse gas inventory.
While much research exists regarding sectors like transport, where decarbonisation pathways are well known, research on deep decarbonisation of the Swiss industry is limited to date.
The DECARBIN project will address this gap. Welcome back at ETH Paul!
