Benedetta Tremolada

Benedetta is currently working on her Master's thesis in the Climate Finance and Policy Group (CFP), focusing on directions of innovation for the decarbonization of platform chemicals. She joined the group in June 2024, looking for an opportunity to explore combined research to broaden her physics background.

Her educational journey has been a passionate search for her interests. She completed her undergraduate degree in Physics at the external page University of Milan with a computational thesis on the cosmic microwave background. This research experience left her with a strong desire to contribute to important projects that deeply fascinated her. She therefore continued with her master’s degree in physics, but with a focus on environment and energy, integrating her studies with economics and engineering courses at the external page Albert-Ludwigs University Freiburg and the external page INATECH Institute in Freiburg in Breisgau. This choice helped her to understand that she also wanted to study the sustainable transition in the context of society and politics. Thus, she found in the CFP the opportunity to learn and at the same time get involved in research for a sustainable future.

In her free time, she enjoys hanging out with friends and living a colorful and enthusiastic life. She loves traveling, sports, and being around animals, especially horses, to go outdoors and be amazed by every landscape and adventure.
