Bingyi Xie

Bingyi joined the Climate Finance and Policy Group (CFP) in January 2024, both as a research assistant and to work on her master's thesis. She is currently pursuing a Master of Arts in Banking and Finance at the external pageUniversity of Zurichcall_made, with interests in sustainable finance and economic policy. Her thesis focuses on investor decisions in renewable energy infrastructure and biodiversity.

She completed her bachelor's degree in finance at South Western University of Finance and Economics (external pageSWUFEcall_made) in China. Additionally, she participated in exchange programs at external pageUC San Diegocall_made and the external pageUniversity of Viennacall_made, spending one year and one semester respectively. Before joining CFP, she gained experience at the external pageIfo Institutecall_made in Munich and Galaxy Securities in Chengdu.

In her free time, she enjoys cooking and exploring new foods. She also loves traveling, hiking in the real Swiss mountains (not Uetliberg) and is constantly amazed by the natural views
